This year’s Faculty of Physical Sciences and Engineering job fair at Southampton University was supported by AAC, with Natalie Foster and Mike Connelly in attendance. Representatives from large corporations that invest heavily in technology were in attendance, with Bloomberg, Visa, Netpay and the Ministry of Defence to name but a few.

The Fair has been an annual event since 2008 and is an important date for the students, who are looking for graduate roles and summer internships. It was a very lively and well-supported day offering several ways for the students to engage with potential future employers during their time in Southampton. The clear majority of them are keen to undertake summer internships and gain real world experience in the industry. Southampton University is currently number 3 in the UK for graduate employability in Electrical Engineering and number 7 for Computer Science (Complete University Guide 2018).

“It was great to see AAC representing SME’s within the industry and to hear such positive feedback from the students about what is clearly a dynamic and vibrant workplace.”

Joyce Lewis, Head of Faculty
